Beautiful hotel, excellent service. I especially enjoyed the buffet style dinners as there was plenty of choice for vegetarians, and the self-service buffet meant there was no need for the usual complicated dietary explanations/requests. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and if as I did you are getting the ferry across to Morrocco from there, it's just a short walk to the ferry terminal.

This is the best hotel in Algeciras, the location is good, the grounds are lovely, the service was great in the restaurants and the breakfast bountiful. The room was a little dated, 50s furniture but very clean and great views. The check in woman was a little cranky, but most of the staff was friendly. The lobby was so 1930s Casablanca, spy novel, fun, We'd definitely recommend. The price including breakfast was just great. Good value for money.

We used this as a base for a few days while we explored surrounding areas - caught the train to ronda and the bus to Gibraltar. The train and bus stations are a very easy, short walk fro the hotel.
We had a very good deal for the room, which included breakfast so it was certainly value for money.
Impressed with the history oif the hotel and the grandeur. Our room was spacious and had a nice balcony with a view of the gardens.
The only disappointment was that, although the dinner buffet choice was good, I like cooked food to be hot, not cool - only on our 3rd night was the hot food hot. Dinner starts at 2000hrs, it seems the food was ready waiting from about 1900hrs!
Other than that, we enjoyed the hotel.
