Stayed at Novotel March 2008. Good size rooms and very clean. Be aware that a double room does not mean double bed. This being a wedding anniversary, twin beds were a big dissapointment, however hotel did offer to change room the next day. Buffet breakfast was excellent and catered for all needs. Point to note, hotel bar very expensive and best avoided.Transport links to hotel (train) and city (tram) were excellent. Used the the No4 tram from terminus (5 min walk from hotel) to access Amsterdam city centre. Excellent public transport options, but avoid taxi's very expensive. All in all a very good hotel and would recommend it.

The hotel is close to the RAI and a 10-15 minute ride to the city's attractions. As for the hotel itself, I was majorly impressed. It's immaculate. My room (1032) was extremely comfortable, had a fully stocked minibar and had pleasant toiletries in the good sized bathroom. Although the room was next to the 5 lifts that operate, I found it to be pretty quiet throughout. The views are OK, but not spectacular. 24-hr room service prices were quite reasonable, as was the dry cleaning service. Breakfast was included in my rate and could be delivered to your room for free - perfect. The restaurant is nice and airy, with a wide selection of food available until midnight. The breakfast buffet is of a good standard, but expensive if you pay for it daily. My highlight here was the staff. They would always go that extra mile. I'll be returning.

I stayed at the Novotel in Amsterdam City for recreational purpose. I feel that the location is not as central as described on various websites. It was close to a subway station, however, there was only one tram line nearby (which took about 30 minutes to get to the central part of the city). However, overall, the hotel was nice which outweighed the location problem. The buffet breakfast (which came with my breakfast) served so many different kinds of food. The size of the room was decent, the room service was great, and the hotel staff spoke good English. Great value!

The location of the hotel is only a few minutes to the city centre by Metro or Tram. The staff was helpful and courteous and the breakfast was excellent (Make sure the breakfast is included when booking). The room was spacious and clean and the conditions of the hotel were pretty new. I recommend getting a 24/48/72hr pass to use the metro, buses and tram.

Excellent value, the staff were great the and rooms were to a high standard. The food from the restaurant and the breakfast was also excellent. Would definately stay there again.

Novotel Amsterdam is a top hotel that offers friendly service and very high standards. The room was very comfortable and clean, The breakfast buffet was something I very much looked forward to each morning. The food was fantastic and the service of a very high order. Public transport was easily accessible and convenient. We had no problems at all getting about Amsterdam, and the airport was only two tram stops away. Yes, we will definitely stay there again. When I arrived in Amsterdam airport, I found the railway station was built just connected to the airport, so I asked the information staff where I need to take off in order to get Novotel City Hotel, they told me "Rei" was the stop name, it was the second stop from Schiphol airport railway station. (only 10 min.)
After getting out of the Rei station, you just need to walk around simply the station, you will see "Novotel" building, within several minutes, you'll be there.
I think I got a big discount when booking a room through Skoosh and when you check in, just show the receptionist your Skoosh Voucher, everything is done. Their service is really wonderful and the room was modern enough compared to those hotels in some European city centers.
And it is very convenient for you to get Amsterdam city center by Tram 4 within 25 minutes, you can ask for a map from the reception and they will provide you all the info you need.
And last not least, their breakfast is also wonderful. Very well organized. Enjoy yourselves there, I recommend Novotel Amsterdam highly to you.

This hotel is wonderful more like a 5 star. Staff are excellent. We needed to change rooms as we were given a smoking and it was done quickly and without problems. We were given directions and advice on where to eat etc. It is close to the tram that takes you right to Central Station. We ate lunch at the cafe at hotel and this & the breakfast that was inclusive were of a very high standard. Our room & particulary the bed were very comfortable & extremely clean. The only downside is the price of parking on the premises. I would highly recommend this hotel
