Within walking distance from the museums, the charming and privately owned 3 star Aalborg Hotel is situated opposite the beautiful Sarphati Park and is just less than 10 minutes away by tram from the famous and trendy Leidseplein and Dam Square. The comfortable 36 rooms which may vary in size, offer all the modern facilities one can expect and for the guests who want to dine near the hotel, a great choice of restaurants are very closed by. During summer time, guests can enjoy having breakfast and/or drinks in the hotel's garden.
I would reccomend this hotel as it is very clean and friendly, the hotel staff were very friendly and seemed to know a lot about the city. The hotel seemed to be in a reasonably good location, the center and points of interest were only a short tram journey away. The room was small but comfortable with a double bed as opposed to two singles pushed together as with a few hotels we have stayed in. One of the main downfalls with the room was the fact that the shower was very small and not being a particularly tall person I still found it difficult to shower comfortably, there was also no minibar but the hotel bar seemed pretty well stocked and this is also where breakfast is served which is a continental breakfast. Overall the hotel is good value for money, comfortable and situated in an easily accessible location. We would happily book this hotel again.

The hotel room is very small but comfortable. If you are prepared for this you will be fine, I expected a bigger room and was taken by surprise. Breakfast is awesome and you should definetely have some. Also the staff is very friendly. Wirless internet is free and I was able to use my laptop in my room, they also have a computer downstairs which can be used 24/7 for free.

The proprietor was at the desk when we arrived. He was very helpful, concerned, and interested as well as interesting. He made modifications to our booking and got us off in the right direction. The room, although a bit small was clean, had a nice bath, and was more than adequate. We had a great time while there and would definitely recommend the hotel.
