Acceptable for the price

Review by: danielle , blackburn, United Kingdom

Stayed: Nov 2009

We found the hotel just fine for the price, it was a bargain as it was clean and about the right standard for a 3 star. Small cabin-style room and bathroom, but smelt quite a bit of stale smoke we noticed. Easy enough to get to if you follow the directions for getting the ferry from the hotel's own website, getting the ferry was a bit of a ballache but only the same as if you have to catch a bus train or metro to your hotel I suppose. Really nice bar and restaurant right on the ferry pier called Kantine, very handy for a quick beer while waiting for the ferry into town. Would recommend as a cheap place to unpack and crash out after a night out.

BOTEL AS GOOD AS ANY

WHAT CAN I SAY, GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY. YOU GET WHAT IT SAYS, A DOUBLE ROOM WITH SHOWER AND TOILET, CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. SOMETHING A WEE BIT DIFFERENT STAYING ON A BOAT. GREAT FERRY SERVICE EVERY HALF HOUR TAKING YOU BACK AND FORTH TO 'CENTRAL STATION'. THE ONLY THING YOU DO MISS IS NOT HAVING TEA AND COFFEE FASCILITIES IN THE ROOM FOR THE MORNING. WE FORGOT TO TAKE A TRAVEL KETTLE, :((. THAT SAID AND DONE, WOULD STAY AGAIN.

no tell botel

Review by: alli

Stayed: Oct 2009

the hotel was ok, but everything felt really dated. it was really difficult finding the hotel once in amsterdam, and was not the easiest to access. the botel was in a better location a few months ago, so most didn't know it moved. the bathroom was extremely small, and the walls are thin, but otherwise, it was ok. the botel met our expectations but did not come close to exceeding them.
