This hotel is well located in the centre of Amsterdam, close to the Leidseplein, Holland casino, Kalverstraat and the PC Hoofsstraat which is the famous up market shopping street in Amsterdam. It is also close to the Museums and other tourist attractions.
This is an excellent three star product with an excellent location and is suitable for all markets. Probably one of the best three star hotels in Amsterdam. 07/2004/jg.
The exterior is traditional and very well maintained.
The bedrooms are in very good condition and are all medium sized as they were renovated in 2004. Some have wooden flooring and are more luxurious than previously as they are catering more towards the business traveller. The bathrooms are also in good condition and the bedrooms offer some of the best 3 star accommodation that this city has to offer.
The reception area is actually very small with a slightly raised and very small seating area. However, through the bar which is next to the reception is a large lounge area which has recently been renovated and has plenty of seating and is actually very comfortable with large, checked sofas and all in very good condition. There is also a patio which can be used in the summer months only.
The restaurant is located in the basement and serves breakfast only. It is quite large and airy and rather attractive.
