This hotel is exactly what others have rated. It is a small, intimate atmosphere with great detail to attention. The staff is very accommodating. There were times where things were lost in translation (I cannot speak fluent Spanish), but the hotel staff did their best to answer our questions. Our room was comfortable with an old-world charm. Firm bed, rain showerhead, very clean, stucco walls, wooden ceiling beams, private porch with a fountain or hot tub. The music piped into the room and bathroom was a nice touch. The restaurant serves top notch food with excellent presentation and reasonable prices. If I revisit Antigua, Hotel Convento will be a repeater!
