My husband and I thought it was inbetween a 3 and 4 star, The hotel has been made from an old apartment building, completely redone, was very clean, and had new furniture and carpet. We liked the fact that it had a complete kitchen and plenty of space to put your belongings and a new flat screen tv, the negetives are the bathroom, was to small hardly any room to put your items, the tub was old and not redone. plus there was no resturant. It was fairly close to fast foods, but you had to walk up slight hills, which was hard for us, because we are elderly. It was close to the metro rail, but we would have liked the free shuttle to run a little later than it did. also the internet in the hotel was not free, it was a dollar for every 4 min.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. When you asked questions you felt like you were really putting them out. Which I do believe that is part of customer service. The last night we stay the were remodeling and would not stop banging until 1:00am. Even after tons of call to the front desk even the manager stated that the direction was coming from above him.

When I am in DC on business, I always try to stay at the Virginian Suites. It is in a very convenient location. You can take the shuttle to the Rosslyn Metro or walk there (5 minutes). From the Metro Station, you can take the blue or orange line. There are restaurants close by but since every room has a full kitchen, you can pick up something after work (or sightseeing) and warm it up later. The rooms are clean and big. The staff of the hotel is courteous and helpful.
Downside: some bathrooms need a new tub and some rooms need a new rug. There are days when you hear the planes taking off from the airport but not often and never late at nigt.

Reasonably priced, good location, safe area, quiet, within walking distance of a Metro station, inexpensive parking. Older building, but fairly well maintained. It was not easy to find despite being on a major roadway ... so call for directions. It is within an easy walk of the Iwo Jima Memorial and Arlington Cemetery which was perfect for us. Stairs in the lobby to the elevator, so I'm not sure if it is handicap accessible. We had reserved a room with 2 double beds, but had to make due with one queen and a sleeper sofa (which my roommate claimed was comfortable). The kitchen was lacking in eating utensils and we actually did not attempt to cook. The A/C worked, the staff courteous. This is not a full-service hotel ... ie. no restaurant on site. Coffee in lobby in am. I'd stay here again ... loved the price and location.
