Plaka Hotel is a 3 star hotel in Athens. Hotel Plaka is an excellent choice for a demanding client, in a terrific location. Five minutes walk from Syntagma Square. Where guests can visit the picturesque small streets with typical taverns and souvenir shops. The world renowned Acropolis a proud symbol of Athens, Parliament, the shopping area of Plaka, and the Cathedral are also all next to the hotel. The popular flea markets are recommended to visit. Guests really are in the heart of Athens when staying at Plaka. All 67 air conditioned guests rooms have recently been decorated and offer a comfortable, relaxing place to unwind and mule over the day. All rooms have a mini fridge, safe deposit box, satellite television, and internet wireless access, hairdryer, telephone and double glazed windows. To ensure all guests enjoy their stay at Hotel Plaka it offers a number of services and amenities to meet the needs of all the guests the spacious breakfast room is a great place to wake up and start the day, the colourful lounge bar provides a great place to chill out during the afternoon or relax after a day shopping or sightseeing. The hotels in house restaurant is only for groups. The magnificient roof garden opens from May-October and offers a unique view to Acropolis and Plaka. A sunset is not to be missed. If guests wish to bring their car then there is know need to worry about parking as the hotel has ample spaces on site. Business guests are free to use the hotel conferencing facilities. There is also a laundry facility, travel deck, luggage storage area and Internet access. For energetic guests the hotel offers bicycle hire and the 24hour reception staff are happy to help with any enquire guests may have. A wonderful location within walking distance to alot of the sights. Beautiful view of the Acropolis both during the day and especially at night. The buffet breakfast was wonderful and very generous. Our group of 9 people all felt very comfortable and safe. Plenty of eateries to walk to. Would definitely recomment this hotel for your stay in Athens.

I would recommend this for its location, amazing roof top view, and simple clean rooms. The beds are horrible, like sleeping on a wooden table. The bathrooms are small but fine, the water pressure was great. Athens is pricey, and this was relatively not outrageous.

Yes, would recommend to others. Close proximity to all the sites and activities. Room is comfortable, with balcony helps to enjoy the outdoors. Roof top has a spectucular view of the Acropolis and met many nice people from around the world.

Bathroom is rather small and shower is very confined.

We were satisfied with the cleanliness of the room , great hardy breakfast served at a good staring time and great location which is close to everything.

I was unimpressed. For a hotel of that quality I expected more. The TV got Greek cartoons, but CNN had such terrible reception that it was unwatchable. It was recommended by Frommers, but I do not agree. Taxis won't take you there from Syntagma Square, and it is quite a walk with a heavy suitcase. Room was pretty sparse. It was acceptable, but I wouldn't go back.
