For a summer vacation in Barcelona, the AC Som delivers deftly and does not disappoint. The lobby is inviting, with decent chairs, a television and some reading materials to look over while the head of pack checks in with the front desk. There is also a bar for quieting the nerves if you just came off your first metro ride through Barcelona. The hotel has a clean modern feel throughout, which carries into the rooms which are appointed just right for anyone spending the whole day sight-seeing and walking about. The free breakfast is quite good, which fruit, pastry, breads, meats and even eggs. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable enough to smooth out a few kinks here and there with the stay and trip. Overall an excellent value. Just be sure you clearly know where the hotel is, because the same address exists on the complete opposite endofbarcelona
