The location of the hotel was as advertised, and it was right off La Ramblas, the main tourist area. So that part was fine.
The problems started after I checked in. It was quite hot in Barcelona and the air conditioner in the room wasn't working. After informing them and asking to change rooms they told me that they knew it was broken, and basically told me, "tough luck, you pre-paid."
The first night was very uncomfortable as it was too hot, and the only option was opening the window, which opened up only to an interior service area that smelled of urine and stray cats.
They spent the next two days with construction people in my room taking the AC out and installing a new one. So I wasn't allowed in my room for 2 of the days from 10am until 5pm.
In short - terrible experience here!
