Eurostar Gaudi is well placed in Barca, two blocks from the Segrada Familia with a metro station 100m away. On the positive side the hotel is clean, has new style decor and the rooms are a reasonable size with marble bathrooms. The rooms are secure with views towards the new cathedral. On the negative side we could not check in until 2pm (they do take your bags). The room windows are soundproof to the outside traffic but you can hear people in the corridors early in the morning. Also, don't expect to get a late drink from the hotel bar. Generally the hotel staff were friendly & helpful and the cost was reasonable value for money. I would avoid a hotel in the busier tourist areas as it can be noisy at night. Don't expect the same hotel standard as in Ireland but overall I would recommend this hotel.

I booked a room which is faced to Sagrada Famillia, but did not at the first day. (It was very small room.) In general, situation and location of the hotel are quite nice, near the metro station, some restaurants, and safer around the hotel. Reception and hotel people are also nice and friendly.

This is a good hotel, especially when you get the best rate. It is close to the Monumental Metro station (2 stops from Passeig de Gracia) and the Avenida Diagonal. Reception staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room was good, odd shape but not small, with a sizeable shower room. Noisy when window was open, but the traffic was not noticable with the window closed.
Good restaurant bar about 70m down the street at the Metro entrance.
Would stay again without hesitation.

The Hotel is located near to the Metro and Sagrada Familia. So the tourist buses which start from the latter are within easy reach. The Metro gives access to the entire city. Hotel staff are exemplary and very attentive to needs of guests. I particulary would like to appreciate the girl at reception on the evening around 5 pm of 5th April 2009. The rooms have a nice decor which is contemporary. The rooms as also the bathrooms are a tad small for the price. There is no restaurant with the hotel, at least it was not functional during our stay 5-7 April. Breakfast could have been included in the room rate. Other than that it was an enjoyable stay. Thanks

We stayed at Eurostars Gaudi Barcelona for three nights for Easter 09. The staff were great - friendly and helpful (even recommending places to eat when asked). The room was a good size, well decorated and well maintained. No bath but a 7 nozzle shower was an impressive replacement! I wouldn't say it was quite 4-star, more an exceptional 3-star. Rooms face onto a busy intersection and are soundproof to most things (although not emergency vehicle sirens as I discovered in the small hours - wouldn't recommend it for light sleepers!). Literally 100 yards from Monumental Metro station (perfect for Passeig de Gracia for airport train) and 5 minutes walk to Sagrada Familia. Not central to La Rambla etc (but I wouldn't say that was a bad thing). I would stay here again - recommend for any couple etc, not kids though.
