We would recommend this hotel to others. Although the hotel website suggests it is quite far out it isn't that much of a walk into the centre and you can stroll directly into Passage de Gracia. The area itself is nice, mainly residential and very quiet with plenty of nice bakers, cafes and a few of the lesser known Gaudi sites etc closeby. It's also very close to Park Guell and the tram line for Tibidabo. The hotel may not be as slick as some Eurostars hotels but this is reflected in the star rating and cost of your stay which provides good value for money.

we stayed at Eurostars Mitre in nov 2010 for a few nights. despite our initial concerns, the hotel was in a great location. it is in a very quite residential area of the northern part of Barcelona.

on foot, it only takes 3 minutes, literally, to the metro station El Putxet. from there you can be in the center of the town (Catalunya) in about 10-15 minutes on line 7 without having to transfer.

good amenities all around, smallish bathroom, however. helpful reception staff for any questions, restaurant recommendation, logistics, etc. they spoke good english.

i do not recommend their breakfast. 10 euro per person per day is rather steep for what i consider to be continental breakfast of some pastries, coffee/juice, etc. there are plenty of other tastier, cost-effective options in the neighborhood.

i would stay here again, if i am back in Barcelona.

This hotel is on a small side street, a few miles from the center of the city. With a metro station a couple blocks away it was easy to get to all the tourist sights, and there was also a market on the same street so we could pick up our own food. The room was confortable and clean with a fairly large bathroom. Our room was on the top floor and had a balcony with a table wich was very nice, though there is not much of a view. The staff was nice and, and spoke english. We had no problems, but parking is hard to find if you don't want to pay, and the elevator is small.I would reccomend this for anyone who doesn't mind walking to see things or has some way to get around, you can walk almost anywhere if you are in shape like us!
