The hotel is located in the heart of Barcelona, next to the Ramblas and the Barri Gotic (the Old Town), close to the cathedral, the Palau de la Generalitat and City Hall.
Other places of interest to be found near the hotel are the Picasso Museum, the Liceu Opera House, the Port Vell harbour area and the Mare Magnum Centre (which play host to some of the city's leading leisure and nightlife areas), a-few-minute stroll from the hotel.

The hotel is housed in a traditional building with a carved sandstone facade. The hotel has been completely restored, respecting its original architecture; its vaulted entrance reflects its origins as a former convent, but its hall has been given something of a modernist style to do justice to its name.

The standard bedrooms are comfortably decorated with traditional furnishings. All have private bathrooms with marble floors. The hotel can provide rooms for up to six people. The top three floors of the hotel face the famous multicolour towers designed by Gaudi, named after the master of modernist architecture in Spain, Antonio Gaudi.
