Great place to rest your head for a night to break up the long car journey. Clean and good value for money. Would recommend visiting the happy burro bar located at the end of the street for a award winning chilli dog, beer and welcoming atmosphere.

Whilst a not very prepossessing motel to look at the welcome was friendly and the room clean. In essence you get what you pay for - not luxurious but perfectly adequate. The AC unit unfortunately didn't cope too well with the extreme weather (100 plus in the day) so the room was too hot really to sleep 'well' in. I would say it's 'value for money' , though and there is a good value Tex-Mex restaurant near by (plus the Sordough Saloon in town does a very good bowl of chilli !)

the hotel is situated at the entrance of death valley, which is very convenient. it is located in a very small town, where there are not a lot of possibilities for eating and grocery shopping. be aware of that when you stay there before going to death valley.
the hotel itself was ok, but with a few comments
* it was very warm (of course) and there was an airco, but it was very very loud, and was blowing, then not, which was annoying if you are a light sleeper. also, we could hear the neighbours very well
* the room didn't appear all that clean (3 spiders in the room) but was ok

overall, i would recommend it it you are going to death valley, but take into account these things when making reservations, there are a few other motels in Beatty

There was no air conditioner in many rooms even though outside temperature was below 0degree cercius.
The room we were first assigned was no hot water in shower and we claimed and moved to another room but we couldn't use enough hot water in that room, too.
So, my wife had to take a shower in the next morning.

It was a good value for the money; room was clean and warm; microwave, small refrigerator, and cable TV. The walls are not sound proof. Overall, it was acceptable with good value for money.
