Opened in 1998 and newly renovated in 2006, the air-conditioned hotel is clean and smart-looking, in an ideal central location in Beijing. There are two separate styles of room to be chosen; one is completely Chinese and the other is European style. The hotel comprises a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, hotel safe, currency exchange facility and cloakroom, as well as lift access, a bar, restaurant and conference facilities. Guests may additionally take advantage of the WLAN Internet access, room service, car park and on-site bicycle hire.
The hotel is located directly in the Qianmen Dashilan business centre, just a few minutes south of Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City. The well-known Liu Li Chang Cultural Street is only 10 minutes' walk away.
There is a large restaurant that serves reasonably priced Western and Oriental dishes and is furnished with a faux, old-style decor. The bar on the sixth floor, with a nice view, provides cheap drinks and coffee.
