Arcotel Velvet Hotel

We arrived at the hotel very early courtesy of Ryanair, but the reception staff were incredibly helpful. They got us straight into our room, and it was huge! Spotless, with flat screen TV, DVD player, loads of magazines and a thoughtful pack containing things to do in Berlin. The huge choice at the buffet breakfast was real value for money. The hotel is perfectly situated for pubs, clubs and public transport. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the Velvet and will definitely use this hotel every time we stay in Berlin. Special mention to the bartender, whose name escapes me - cheerful, great company and really helpful, he made us feel right at home when we called in for our nightcaps.

Though our stay was short, it was a good one. We enjoyed the area (very active), close to the tourist highlights too, and the hotel room was comfy. Thumbs up!

The hotel is very nice and in a good area. There are lots of great restaurants and bars nearby and it's a short walk into town. There is a underground station across the road too. The staff were all very friendly and helpful I would recommend it to my friends.
