This hotel has a near perfect location in the heart of the Birmingham, next to New Street station. With such easy train links, the NEC, Coventry and Birmingham International Airport can all be reached in approx 20 minutes.
This hotel offers outstanding value for money and hence is extremely popular. Its central location means that there is plenty to do in the surrounding area.
A red brick Victorian building, with traditional high windows and ceilings, overlooking New Street station.
All rooms are modern in design, suited to the business and leisure traveller. The rooms include trouser press, telephones, TV's and all are in good condition.
Small to medium in size with a reception area and a small area for seating.
There is no restaurant, just a breakfast room. The hotel has its own large bar, which shows major sporting events.
1 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 12 km to the nearest fair site (nec), 15 kms to the nearest airport (birmingham), Close to the station (new street).

Typical Station Hotel

It did what I needed - a bed right by New Street rail station with 24 hour reception. Beware the hotel entrance is about 4 flights of stairs below the station exit so not good if you have lots of bags.
Room only fair but clean with a pod of a bathroom, breakfast served cheerfully and well organised.

Good size room. Very clean. May not suit elderly / people with disability due to stairs. Elevator is available though can be very slow.
