The hotel also offers full use of the gym facilities. Overall this is a fantastically modern hotel set perfectly for visitors to the area. Guests can enjoy the convenience to the NEC, Airport and major road links, as well as regular bus services to the city centre, where you can enjoy extensive shopping at the Bullring centre or Mailbox where Harvey Nichols can be found. (KB 04/08) Set in landscaped grounds overlooking Pendigo Lake, Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC is only 5 minutes walk from the National Exhibition Centre and NEC Arena, 5 minutes drive from Birmingham International Airport and International Train Station, 10 miles from Birmingham City Centre and within easy reach of major UK motorways (M5, M6, M40 and M42). This is a modern purpose built building, set across 5 floors with extensive car parking. The hotel grounds boast fantastic landscaped gardens and the hotel overlooks a scenic lake. The lobby is large in size and decorated in a modern contemporary style, similar to a glass atrium. All the rooms are large in size and in excellent conditions. All have a very contemporary style and have been furnished with deep cherry-red wood and warm colours. All rooms are complete with upscale guest amenities which include air conditioning, direct dial telephone with voicemail and dataport, desk with ergonomic chair, trouser press, laptop safe, iron and ironing board, bathrobes, minibar, satellite TV with in-room movies, radio. All bathrooms and medium in size and in excellent conditions.

Great location near the LG arena

The hotel was better than expected as the reviews are mixed. The rate we had from Skoosh of Â£79 for room incl two full breakfasts was great value. It was a hot day and the aircon did not function well resulting in a poor nights sleep. I did not like the Â£10 car park fee but apparantly all the local hotels do it. Comfortable room and freindly staff. Under 5 minutes walk to the LG.

Very nice hotel, excellent breakfast. Friendly staff, suggested we left the car in the hotel carpark after checking out as we were staying for the afternoon performance. Very convenient for nec. Would go there again.

Very nice decor throughout the hotel and particularly the bedrooms. Food was excellent in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The hotel is brilliantly situated for the NEC and we would definately return.

The hotel receptionist was not friendly; also she tried to charge me for Breakfast which was already paid for. If not for this, the hotel would receive 5***** from me!
