Reviews of Macdonald Burlington Hotel Birmingham

Review by: Claire, London, United Kingdom

Stayed: Aug 2009

Everywhere was nice and clean and the staff were lovely. Special thanks to Aidan in the Breakfast room - he was great and couldn't have been more helpful! However we were in room 323 and it was certainly looking very tired and in need of a spruce up!

We spoke to other people staying there in rooms overlooking the main shopping street - these were apparantly lovely and modern so might be worth asking for one of those. All round though good value for money. Would stay again.

The hotel does have a sign in the main foyer saying they are going through room refurbisment so I guess it's pot luck what you get!

The Burlington was good value for the amount I paid via skooch.
The outside of the hotel is as impressive as the reception area, the staff are friendly & knowledgable & the bedroom was of a decent standard for a single which I'm not used to.
The only points of concern are the breakfast people who clear your table before you've finished & reallocate when you return from the buffet which is in a seperate room & the bar prices are way ove rthe top but all in all I would return without hesitation.

The hotel was excellent, staff helpful, location perfect
Having to park at a NCP car park near by, the hotel
should negotiate a discount for 24hr parking.£11.00
per day adds up
