Reviews From Our Customers Of **Top secret hotel**, Boston

Review by: Rob, Washington, United States

Stayed: Jun 2008

Customer Rating:

The lobby and bar areas were beautiful. Upstairs, the long hallways were dirty and in need of an update. Our standard room was incredibly tiny and the full size bed took up nearly all the floor space. There was barely enough room for two people to move around. The view out the single window was almost non-existant as the window's lower half is dominated by an oversized, loud air conditioning unit. We won't be staying here again.

yes I would recommend this hotel, people were friendly, a great location, some common areas were a bit shabby but rooms were clean and kept up. The lobby is beautiful, restaurant and bars were good. All in all it was a good experience.

Yes. The room was fantastic. It was much larger than I expected and the hotel staff were wonderful. Also the location of the hotel is great for getting around the city.

Customer Rating:

This was a nice hotel. Known for the invention of the Boston Cream Pie and the Boston Creme Pie Martini this hotel is a short walk to the theater district and only 3 blocks from the Commons. Service was excellent and "The Last Hurrah" is super place for drinks (warm nuts for munchies, not just chips) and breakfast was great. My only hesitation in giving this the highest rating was that there were minor issues in the room of small areas where the wallpaper was torn...this is an older hotel. But the place is very nice, comfortable and beautifully decorated.

Customer Rating:

The hotel is laden with history. Supposedly Malcolm X and Ho Chi Minh were waiters in the restaurant. That was quite amazing. The lobby is beautiful. The room was small and a bit drab because it was next to an alley. But the bed was very, very comfortable, and the shower/bath came with a bathrobe. My daughter and I slept beautifully. The people who worked in the hotel could not have been nicer. The location is good; it's close to a subway stop. There's Borders nearby, and beautiful Beacon Hill is not far away. A nice movie complex is also close. The price is right. I would really recommend it, though you should know that the room with a single double bed is small.
