the best thing about the fairmont was the great location in the back bay of boston. The room was small and had no dresser. we were there for 7 nights and 5 of those our "card key" did not work and we had to get it reprogrammed, this was a drag. The concierge first told us he had a connection to get us into another hotel's pool..then he failed to return my call, then he told us he did not have a connection.....he also told us that another hotel would let us in to their poot, when we showed up they told us it was only for hotel guests.
we will not stay there again.

A very below standard room, plain, old, just like the hotel. No public rooms except for one stuffy bar. Very noisy from wedding festivites every night we were there. Don't book a room on the 1st floor. A companion found a FLEA in her bed. Staff from the bellman to the manager were uninterested and unhelpful. AVOID at all costs

Whether it's the old building or the cleaning products, something in that building does a number on one's allergies.
Valet service needs to be better. Had to retrieve someone from inside on several occasions.
The compressor right outside my window never turned off.
Moldy shower curtain needed to be replaced the first night.
Got charged for things I didn't take out of the mini bar (they did correct this).

Yes. I was impressed with the attention received by all of the staff, cleaniness of the room and high quaity bedding. Definitely a good value for the money. All of my expectations were exceeded.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont. We travel with a small pet and they are very nice and accommoating. They actually have a retired service dog, in the lobby, that they have adopted. The location is very convenient and the hotel was immaculate; the rooms were very nice and comfortable. The staff was also very nice. We would definitely stay there again.
