The question I received was, "How did you find the Nu Hotel?" so I have to say that the cab-driver couldn't find it, so he left me off somewhere on Smith St., and I walked the rest of the way (:-). The Nu Hotel is clean and modern, and I was quite pleased with my room, on the courtyard. It was quiet and pleasant. The staff at the desk were very pleasant and helpful. The continental breakfast was pretty much the usual. (I was hoping for waffles.) It was very nice to have free access to the computer in the lobby. I stayed because of business in Brooklyn. Getting to Manhattan by subway is OK, but I might prefer to stay in Manhattan if my business (or pleasure) was there. The Nu Hotel was good value for the money. |

We enjoyed the Nu Hotel. The reasonably large room was very clean and had tall windows the length of the long wall. The room and bedspread were in white and this, combined with the high ceilings gave the room a spacious feel. We wanted to be close to downtown Brooklyn and the location was perfect. It is also fairly close to the restaurants and shopping of Cobble Hill. |

The Nu Hotel was WONDERFUL!! Great room at a fair price; it was larger than most other NY hotels that we have stayed in. Convenient to subway, shopping, and restaurants. We enjoyed wandering through area neighborhoods and found the area safe even at night. We had no trouble finding parking on the street; be sure to check signs, though, as rules for alternate side of the street parking are enforced. Hotel staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Although it was rather mediocre, a continental breakfast was included, even though our reservation said it wasn't. We would stay here again, and heartily recommend it. |

Located near Smith Street restaurants, bars, and shops, and multiple subway stops for Manhattan access. King bed room with small desk was a good size and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. No parking included but parking next door for $25 per 24 hours. |

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who has been to New York previously. For your first trip, stay in Manhattan. My husband and I love Brooklyn and found this hotel to be reasonably priced by New York standards. Skoosh gave us a very good deal. All in all, we were happy with it. The bed was comfortable, the room was small (closet tiny!), but the bathroom was large. And you certainly don't go to New York to spend time in your hotel. |
