De Orangerie Hotel is a 4 star hotel in Bruges.
Generai information:The De Orangerie Hotel comprises this small 15th Century Convent of the Sisters Karthuizerinnen. It has been smartly converted to a wonderful "boutique" hotel, furnished with exclusive fabrics, antiques and objects d'art, all brought together by the lady of the house, who is an antiques dealer and interior designer.Location:With its superb location in very heart of Bruges on one of the most picturesque canals of this city.Throughout their stay, clients will be helped by an experienced staff, offering a personal and friendly service, which recognizes each guest as an individual and a friend.Area:The Orangerie is located in the very heart of the city, right on the canal and is within easy walking-distance from all main sights. Recreation:The lobby and Wintergarden lounge with its views on the “trompe l’oeil” Italian gardens is a haven of rest and tranquility in fresh white and light-grayish colors. In the elegant lounge along the canal, guests can relax by the open fire, in comfortable sofas while going through the available art books and international magazines. In the meantime one can enjoy a drink either from the honesty bar or professionally served by one of our butlers. It is magical to sit outside on the terrace alongside the water, where the small boats leave every 15 minutes for a trip on the canal. Enjoy the morning sun while having breakfast here. And the daily traditional English “Afternoon Tea” is served here in the spring and summer. The oak panelled restaurant along the canal is a most enjoyable place to unwind. In the morning a delicious buffet breakfast with Champagne is served and eggs are prepared according to the guests' wishes. In 2003, the Orangerie –breakfast was elected of the best breakfast in Belgium by one of the leading tour-operators. Also the “Afternoon Tea” is served here in the winter.Rooms:All 20 bedrooms have been individually decorated with antiques and offer all the modern comfort that the discerning traveler expects.
We would certainly recommend this hotel to others. Very friendly and attentive staff in a wonderful location very close to the main square. There was also a free walking tour of Brugge arranged by the hotel, done by a lovely local man, which was brilliant and certainly gave us far more information than a tourist would find out.
The hotel has its own car park, which is ideal for the independent traveller, although at a cost.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The reception was breathtaking and the location perfect, just 2 mins from the main market square. The staff could not do enough to help. There was slight confusion with the booking but this was rectified immediately and they even offered us a choice of room. We were given a room with a fire which they lit for you and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was first class with all the choice you could possibly wish for. In terms of value our total stay cost just over £300 for three nights and the room rate was £190 a night, so it was a great deal. I would definitely recommend this hotel and especially Skoosh to others.
