Despite some poor reviews we found this a good place to stay for our needs. Good breakfast, v.good location for metro and bus connections. Room was fairly basic but OK for a family of 4 at a relatively cheap price. Supposedly dodgy neighbourhood but we had no problems - didn't feel threatened at all.

Not What I Expected to Find in a 3* Hotel

The area where the hotel is placed is not the best in Brussels, but it is not far away from the city center, might be dangerous at night to walk alone.
What particularly disappointed me was the leaking ceiling that made one of our beds totally wet and some parts of the floor carpet. Very good breakfast. Bad services at the reception, rude ladies.
So, overall, no, expectations not met.

Cheap hotels are not easy to find in Brussels. Good cheap hotels are even rarer. This one fit the bill though. The hotel is clean, the staff were professional and spoke good English. Breakfast was an above average buffet. My room had a fridge, but no desk. Everything is well used and a little run down, but I wasn't expecting the Ritz. It's a little out from the centre of town, but the number 46 bus stops right outside.

The staff were nice enough, but the hotel was located in the worst possible area and I was terrified walking along the street we would be mugged. The room was fine, although bins were not emptied and the bathroom had dirty marks on the floor and bath......not sure what they were but I was not washing in there.
Two nights previous we stayed in a chain of hotels in Holland and they cost 9euro more per night and were immaculate and of the highest quality. I would not recommend it unless you are satisfied staying in a HOSTEL rather than a hotel.

An average low range 3* hotel. Acceptable for the price paid. Don't expect any luxury.
Good: close to TGV/Eurostar railway station. rather clean. Nice reception. Cheap. Breakfast is included to the price.
Bad: The district around the hotel is inhabited by poor immigrants from Magreb and Africa and is considered to be the least safe in Brussels. I didn't have any problem, but most local people warned me to be careful. No air conditionning, so avoid during hot season.
