Baross Hotel

Good location with friendly and helpful personnel. The hotel is well maintained, the room and bathroom were clean and of good size. The breakfast is of great variety although repetitive. We stayed for four days and ran out of choices on the third day.
A three day pub transp pass is the way to go. You can use it for an unlimited number of rides throughout the city. Bus #7 and metro #3 stop within 100ft from the hotel entrance. Make sure you visit the Szecsenyi bath! It is terrific!

I would certainly recommmend Baross Hotel.
The rooms were more than adequate,clean and very warm,(it was cold whilst we were there).
It is about 3omins walk to the centre,but no problem.
The staff were very polite and helpful.It is very good value for money,and includes a good breakfast.It was more than we expected and we would certainly go back if we were in Budapest

The hotel was in reality better than the impression I gained before my visit. Both my room and bathroom were furnished and decorated to a high standard and were kept very clean.
There was an extensive choice of food for the breakfast buffet and the dinning room itself was very pleasant.
All the staff were extremely polite and helpful.
The Baross represents very good value and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

I stayed here twice, in different rooms. Service was very helpful; place was clean; location was excellent for my needs: I wanted to be near the train station and metro on this trip, and this was just across the street from both. There are more fun and scenic neighborhoods in Budapest, but for a hotel so close to a railway station this one is a good find. Has more of a hostel feel than that of a major hotel, but that was no problem for me. Breakfast was really quite good. I
