The hotel is on the bank of the Danube on the Pest side, a two minute walk from the shopping area and Chain Bridge. It is in an excellent location and stands next to the popular pedestrian street Vaci Ut. This is a good 5* hotel in a sensational location. Having recently undergone a major renovation it offers good service in its modern slick bar and restaurant. The fact that all rooms offer an outstanding view of the Danube is unique in the city. This is a modern building with an outside terrace which overlooks the Danube. The hotel serves breakfast on the ground floor in its new ultra modern restaurant which has stylish tall glass lamp shades, designer furniture and a very good choice of buffet or freshly cooked breakfast. Lunch and dinner can also be enjoyed here and there is a good local and international menu available, along with a huge drinks menu including many good Hungarian wines. The lobby is medium in size and decorated in warm dark woods giving a pleasant atmosphere. There is a small shop attached to the reception area and a patisserie counter in the centre of the seating area. The whole lobby is particularly welcoming and luxurious. The rooms are medium in size and kept in very good condition along with the bathrooms. All rooms face the Danube and have large windows offering lots of natural light into the rooms and spectacular views of the river as well as the castle district or Gellert hill. All rooms have modern facilities including air-conditioning, satellite TV, safe, tea and coffee making facilities and mini-bar. 2 km to the nearest station (keleti palyauduar), 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 25 kms to the nearest airport (ferihegy), 4 km to the nearest fair site (bnv), 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station (deak square).
I would highly recommend this hotel. The bed was comfortable and the towels were good quality and plentiful. Everything was spotlessly maintained. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our booking included the continental breakfast which was very generous and enticing. Cereals, yogurt, fruit sweet rolls, bread and cheese and jams.
The restaurant, "Peppers", has great ambiance and the food is excellent.
We loved having a view of the river and the Palace on the Buda hills across from us.
The hotel was worth the price we paid.
