Stayed here for 3 nights end of March 2009 and can strongly recommend this hotel. Location is just about perfect with the Chain Bridge at the front door! The main shopping area is within 2 mins walk, as is a metro stop. Rooms are top drawer and breakfasts keep you going until dinner that evening! Price appears high if booking direct, however, I believe I got a much discounted rate with Skoosh. Also prices in main restaurant of hotel appears slightly on the high side, however with so many excellent restaurants nearby, this was not a problem. Some to note are Spoon, Boom & Brass and the excellent Japanese Kyoto. A must to do - visit the Szechenyi Thermal Baths at Heroes' Square. Will be back to Budapest and if I get a good deal, will definitely stay in Sofitel Budapest.
