I would recommend this hotel, but for people who are vacationing in Calgary you DEFINITELY need to have a car.
I found it good value for money, in terms of quality of decor, comfort and cleanliness. I have stayed in the Delta Bow Valley downtown before, and it was just as good as that (with a real hairdryer in the bathroom!). Breakfast was OK (usually two hot things (sausages and omelette, bacon and french toast/pancakes) bagels, toast, cereal, yoghurt...).
Downsides - if your room is by the lift, be warned that the lift makes a loud "bing bong" noise that can easily wake a lighter sleeper.
Also, if you are on the fourth floor watch out for the hot tub users on the roof - they stomp a lot from early until quite late. Soundproofing from other rooms was good, however.
Note, there is no restaurant yet!
