I booked 2 nights at the Equatorial Cameron Highlands knowing that it's only a 3 star hotel costing $65 a night. I decided on the hotel based on the location and the view. When we checked into the room, we find it to be old and very dirty. It appears that the carpet has not been cleaned or replaced in a VERY long time. There are stains everywhere . The bathroom seems dirty too. The curtain even has mold on it. The lobby area seems like it has not been mopped or cleaned in a long time. The floor is dusty and and i see spider web on the chandelier. Also, the exterior of the hotel needs a new paint job badly. For such a beautiful location, it's ashame that the hotel is in such condition. We would have paid $100 a night for a cleaner hotel. Management: Please takenotice.

Staff of the hotel were all fantastic from front reception desk to wait staff to the housekeeping. It was a plesant stay but the rooms and hotel was not in good shape or condition. Maintenance was lacking. I had a good view but thought that the balcony would be huge enough to sit on an enjoy the breeze and view but the balcony was big enough only for 2 people standing. I guess bec our room was at the main hotel building saw others that were not part of the hotel which had bigger balconies. Location was great. 5 to 10 mins drives to many of the mountain walk and hikes that I took. Great if you have a car there. Loved the food at the restaurant. I enjoyed it but room could be better.

newspaper delivery late, by 8am still not yet there, only back from breakfast at about 10am, saw it hanging on the door. kids breakfast charge at rm22 each a bit too high, am not sure if this is industrial standard but looking at the food that they are serving... does not even worth that. almost same food for the 2 days. lift plc need reprogramming, sometime wait for long time for the lift to move and sometime it just passed you without stopping.
