We made the best of it...

I would not recommend this resort to others. The entire resort with the exception of 1 restaurant is extremely hot!! The buffet was absolutely impossible to eat in as you would pour sweat the entire time. The food was mediocre at best. We could never get enough washcloths so we bathed with our hands. They only left 1 roll of tp each day (with 2 adults and 2 kids not quite enough!). Our room had no refrig in it...not sure why. Majority of staff were very unfriendly. Bartenders at walk up pool bar and lobby bar were the nicest. Lifeguard in kids waterpark was GREAT! My girls loved him. I really don't think it was a good value for the money and my expectations were not met. We made the best of it, but I would never return.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful — If you're looking for a low cost all inclusive vacation, the Parnassus is a good place to stay. It's not high end but it's also not a dump. The food is OK (found most of it to be overly salty but acceptable), the drinks are OK (watered down and in 8oz glasses- i suggest bringing a Bubba Keg). The service was quite good though. The pool waitresses were very efficient. I tipped $5/day and they continually refilled without needing to be asked. One thing to be aware of...when we were there, they rotated restaurants nightly (ie- not every restaurant was open every night). The French restaurant requires pants, and when the French was open (due to the pants requirement), there was a long line at the other restaurants. So either bring pants or be prepared to wait...

Beautiful room, outstanding service, but cannot swim in the sea

The hotel by itself was great: the service was outstanding, the food was delicious, the room was AWESOME. Our room had a great view, it was spacious, had beautiful furniture and the best part.... a jacuzzi in the terrace. It was great. Unfortunately, if you want to swim in the sea, this is not the hotel for you. The beach of this hotel is full with stones, so we had to either stay at the pool or go swimming to other hotels' beaches.

A good stay at the Great Parnassus

We had an Ocean front suite. We had to get moved two times. Finally the third room was beautiful. The lobby is open air, very nice but the rest of the hotel's hallways and elvevator was hot, no air conditioner. Elevators were always crowded and we had to wait a long time to get one. The food was good. We went to Gold Parnassas a lot because it was adults only there. There was a room below us with people in it that were smoking cigars one night out on their balcony. We could not enjoy our balcony that night or even have our sliding door open to hear the ocean because the smell of cigars was so horrible. I called the front desk and asked for the manager. I asked if the room that these people were in was smoking or non smoking. He said he didn't know.
