Hotel Soberanis

We would recommend this hotel to others needing an economical and clean place to stay near the bus station. It was completely spotless. The beds were slightly more than basically comfortable. There was no elevator to the room which was two flights up and we carried our own luggage. The view from the room was horrendous - - don't stay here for the view! The only bad part was that the a/c was an on/off thing that made some tremendously loud bangs and clicks. We eventually turned it off to have a good night's sleep. We arrived late and left early and it suited our needs perfectly - a place to rest our heads before getting on the bus the next morning early. We left before the breakfast (included) was served. Staff was very nice.

Room was clean; Very simple. Everything worked although air conditioner was loud. No view from room. Hotel faces out on Hospital.

Continental breakfast was not worth the effort.

We arrrived at the hotel having just been robbed at the bus station (beware of a scartch on your ankle and someone asking if this dollar bill is yours!) and found not only a warm welcome at the desk but also a huge immaculate room for the three of us just a minute from the bus route to the beach (13 pesos/10 minutes) and next door to a very handy supermarket. Great value (good breakfast included) for our last night in a wonderful country.

Only recommend if you desire to be close to the bus station.
It's somewhere to sleep while on your way to somewhere else.
