The Hotel de Paris is located in central Cannes, just a few streets back from the main shopping streets and the Croisette, within walking distance of the beach.
When you enter, it feels more like a medieval chateau than a 3 star hotel in the centre of Cannes. This impression is heightened by the bluff stone walls, stained glass windows, arched doorways and large tapestries on the walls. Everywhere, there are coats of arms, and elegant carpeted runners softening stone and marble staircases.
Rooms on the top floor carry on the theme, with low ceilings and heraldic designs on everything from the doors to the curtains. Sloping ceilings add to the charm of the accommodations on this floor, although the other floors have more spacious rooms, in a more traditional design. 4th floor rooms have a terrace. All rooms feature a safe, air-conditioning, and cable TV.
The breakfast room features heavy tapestries and even a suit of armour, as well as a generous breakfast buffet. Its doors open out on to the terrace, from where it's a few steps up into the lush gardens, where you'll find ample seating under italian umbrellas, and the outdoor pool, bordered by flowers. Besides the pool, the Hotel de Paris also offers a jacuzzi and sauna to complete your relaxation.
The hotel also has a cosy lounge area, with a bar. The hotel is entirely air-conditioned and sound-proofed. 7 parking spaces are available, each at a cost of €15 per day. The hotel doesn't accept pets; children under 3 years are free when staying with 2 full rate paying adults.
