I'd definitely recommend this hotel, nice rooms (try get seaview!), good service although very pricey- not impressed that you have to pay for the sun chairs by the pool/beach even if you are a hotel guest.

our expectations were met, although I really thought it would be a truly fancy hotel. Ultimately, I think it was a really nice hotel. I did not like that everything had an extra charge to it. being a guest at the hotel had almost no benefits. Doing something like that would have made us feel a little special. The poolside area is nice. If you go at 4, you don't get charged for using it. I hated that there was no outdoor place where i could read on the hotel premises where i didn't have to pay to be there. But, i guess that is Cannes! Great location and nice (but standard) rooms!

We were in Cannes May 7-11, 2008 and stayed at the Hotel Martinez. This hotel is exquisite. The service is flawless, the hotel is beautiful, and the rooms are big and comfortable. I need to mention that the bed is very plush, so no worries about a comfortable sleep. :)
The hotel has an art deco motif, which is actually very beautiful. We highly recommend this hotel!

Absolutely fabulous hotel. The staff couldn't do enough for us. It was our honeymoon and we were presented with a bottle of champagne and chocolates when we arrived. Beautiful art deco hotel, getting a bit shabby around the edges, but this only adds to its charm. Breakfast included was fantastic - loads of choice and eat as much as you like. Confident we got the best price on the internet through Skoosh. Great position on the Croisette in Cannes, what a great place for people watching. Yes it's a very expensive part of the world, but worth every penny. Didn't eat in the Palme d'Or as unfortunately it was closed on Mondays. Ate in the Relais de Martinez and the food was very good and reasonably priced (compared to other meals we had in the area). Will definately go back again for our first anniversary next year.
