We've stayed in many of the hotels in Charleston. This one is on the peninsula but a little more than a walk from the main tourist attractions. On the plus side, there is ample free parking on site and the pool was great - ammenities not found in most of the others. The hotel is excellent in all respects and I highly recommend it.

We stayed here three nights in May 2008. Overall, we thought it was an excellent, well-managed hotel. However, you should know that it is a few miles away from the heart of Charleston. If you're interested in staying somewhere within walking distance of shops and restaurants, this should not be your first choice. Otherwise, it's great.

We only stayed one night on our way home from a week on Kiawah Island. Nicely furnished room; attentive, friendly staff befitting Charleston - billed as the friendliest city in America- and in a convenient location to the airport and the historical district of this lovely city.
