Breakfast buffet was really weak, the hotel had run out of a lot of items and the all you can eat buffet was more like a "eat what you can get". Don't get visions of grandeur!

The hotel it's self was very nice, well presented, clean and comfortable and the staff were very welcoming and the location was good, free parking nearby and only a short walk to the city centre.

Some of decor a little dated.
Didnt get chance to use the pool and spa facilities

First impression was room was very basic and smelt old, and did not have an up to date flat screen tv, but we thought well you get what you pay for. We got moved to another room at their request because they had booked a stag party in and the Receptionist thought we might get disturbed in the night, the room we got moved to was a disabled room on the family side and a much better room. Yes we would recommend to others and we would come back for another visit, good value for money and the leisure complex was excellent with a good size pool not overcrowded. The bar is nice and relaxing until you realise how much you have just paid for your drinks, would be nice to see lower bar prices. seemed a little further to Chester than stated but only £5.80 in a taxi

I would definately recommend this hotel, the spa facilities are fabulous and it was definately worth the money. Our expectations were exceeded. Well worth the money!

We found the Crowne Plaza to be a good hotel with excellent amenities.
Check-in went smoothly with the staff excellent and welcoming. Parking was no problem.
Our room was a twin. Would not book that again - beds are too narrow. In other hotels we have stayed in, twin rooms have two double beds.
We enjoyed using the swimming pool and the gym. The spa treatment (neck, shoulders and back massage) was super as was the eyelash & eyebrow tinting.
We had one breakfast and one dinner at the hotel. Breakfast was very ordinary. Dinner was nice but expensive.
Only one staff member was unpleasant. She would not accept my coffee room-charge, despite my showing her my room card, and insisted on confirming with reception that I was a guest. The same woman also forgot to give our order in for the food to accompany our drinks, pre-dinner.

nice hotel, central , easy booking in, carpark quite small but found a parking space. Breakfast good, plenty of choice.we stayed in a standard room, large and nicely furnished. Quite no noise although Christmas parties taking place in hotel
Would recommend
