The hotel is one of the best at chicago. Even though I just used to sleep after the lollapaloza festival, I can say the hotel was impecable in every detail. I would stay there again, the service was amazing and everyone was very polite.

The Swissotel always has clean, comfortable rooms, competent staff, and great views. A nice gem in downtown Chicago.

Nice view of Navy Pier through hotel window
Cookies & Milk, Wine, Cheese & Crackers waiting for us when we came back from afternoon walk
Beds were very comfortable
Bathroom spacious

Yes.... but people should be aware that there are a lot of extra charges that apply...such as for the use of the gym and health club.

Insufficient lighting in the bathroom. Bed was very uncomfortable (much too hard). Otherwise, the hotel itself was excellent.

The location of the hotel could not be better as the river and lake are right at your doorstep, and most shopping, dining and entertainment spots are either within walking distance or an easy cab ride. The hotel is attractive and generally well maintained. I was upgraded to a corner room which had river, city and lake views..just beautiful, and you knew you were in Chicago by just looking out the window. Service was friendly and helpful and the rates were reasonable for the busy week I was there. Rooms are spacious and comfortable but the beds could be updated with pillowtops!

Yes the hotel would be recommended. The concierge staff were exceptionally helpful and diligent with some queries and bookings we had (Amongst the best that I have dealt with). The hotel location is ideal for Chicago and all the expectations were met. Rooms are a good standard and clean.
The only down side on value was the resturant - food was good but pricey!
