The Cadillac Palace Theater is an appropriate neighbor for this music-themed hotel: witness the clefs on the shower curtains, a music room off the lobby, and the High Society-inspired watercolor mural by the lobby stairs at the entrance. While the standard rooms - lusciously decorated with chocolate browns and grapefruit pinks - are charming, they're outshined by premium rooms, which have whirlpool tubs, and complimentary bottles of Mr. Bubble. Suites have themes; the surprisingly unkitschy Lion King suite, for example, emits an African wilderness vibe, with wicker furniture and netting hanging over the bed. The hotel comprises a total of 467 rooms spread over 19 floors. Guests will appreciate the hotel's American charm, outstanding décor and excellent service. An inviting entrance hall with a 24-hour reception and a lift awaits guests. Further facilities include a hairdressing salon, a cosy bar, and a restaurant serving delicious food. The staff were efficient and courteous. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Very convenient to lots of tourist spots in Chicago. My expectations were met.

I was able to book at a VERY favorable rate of $130 per night in August. The room was on the smaller side, but ample enough room for one person for several nights with a desk to work at. The HD TV was more than I expected. The bathroom and closet are very small, but, again, sufficient for one, particularly at the price point. The bed and bedding were most comfortable and the room was quiet and dark. The bar and restaurant next door is a bit on the expensive side but has very good food and drink. For my needs, the hotel was a perfect location and within walking distance of everywhere I needed to go - including the Blue Line so I could get to/from O'Hare for $2 bucks each way. I will definitely stay again!

The hotel was fine - a good and reasonably priced minibar. Convenient Loop location. But the decor was a very poor attempt at "trendy", and the bed was a bit small.
