Fabulous location a little south of the Water Tower. Lobby is on 3rd floor and then we had to take another set of elevators to get to our room, so that's kind of annoying. The lobby is lovely and we had a nice buffet breakfast in the 2nd floor restaurant. The bedroom was small, but the bathroom was adequate. Try to avoid the 22nd floor--we were under a wedding reception on the 23rd floor, and it didn't end until after midnight. Would definitely stay here again if the price remains reasonable.

This is a great hotel - reasonably priced, charming and the staff could not be more helpful. We were there to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday and they sent up a fruit basket to welcome her to the hotel - their concierge made superb recommendations for places to dine in the area.

The property was in a fabulous location, everything was fresh and clean, staff was very friendly; but the room was incredibly small. I had requested twin beds but got one double bed, a disappointment since I was traveling with my teen daughter and it was uncomfortable. Anyone used to American style hotel rooms would find it very cramped, tiny closet, no iron, no blow dryer, only shower no tub. Overall I was happy due to the perfect location, and cleanliness which are the most important to me.

The Allerton is an old but nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay and was comfortable there.
