Location The property enjoys an excellent location at Wacker Drive and Michigan Avenue. This fabulous downtown location is just a short walk from the Magnificent Mile. Facilities This chic, sleek and sophisticated boutique hotel overlooks the Chicago River. It is a modern 454-room hotel offering something different in the downtown area. The building dates back to 1950. Business travellers are sure to appreciate the facilities and services of the 24-hour business centre and the availability of high-speed Internet access. A lounge bar is also available, as is room service. Air conditioning, a restaurant and a laundry service also feature. Rooms City-view or river-view rooms are available. All rooms have spacious work desks and leather ergonomic chairs, direct dial telephone, en suite bathroom, hairdryer, designer bath products, luxurious bed linens, Sony mini hi-fi/stereo system, minibar, fridge, coffee/tea maker, ironing set and TV. Centrally-regulated air conditioning and central heating also feature. Sports/Entertainment The hotel offers guests complimentary use of the 24-hour gym. Great stay at Hotel 71

I would recommend the hotel. Enjoyed spacious room, river view, easy check in & out. Would prefer closet not in bathroom. Staff friendly & helpful. Great location.

Hotel 71 a real find!

Brilliant value for money through Skoosh. Excellent location, we could walk everywhere. Also near a subway station so we used the subway from the airport, at $2.25 a bargain. There is disabled acess at O'Hare and Clark/Lake so no problems with suitcases and only took 45 mins. The rooms were huge with lovely views of the river, bathroom good size with excellent shower. Hotel staff very helpful. No safe in room (we only had the deluxe) but we used the safety deposit boxes near reception which were free of charge. FREE WiFi also which was a real bonus. Would happily return there.

Great Location! Fabulous View!

This hotel is in a great central location and the view of the river and the bridges is one of the best in the city. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had our room upgraded to a corner room for only $10 more a night. Doesn't get any better than that! Our expectations were definitely met. The only surprising downfall was that they do not have great cable service. Nice HD flat screen TV in the room but no access to HD channels, movies, Versa for sports (could not watch the Stanley Cup playoff games in our room), etc. That being said I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely go back.
