Located well for the Magnificent Mile and downtown [hidden], this hotel is a great place to stay. The rooms are different from your usual hotel room and are decorated with a nice homely feel, with wooden floors and some fireplaces. The bathrooms are based on a spa design and are luxurious and equipped with some excellent beauty products. For business travellers, there is high speed internet access in all rooms and also a wireless facility in the 24hr lounge and business center. The hotel offers a dry cleaning pick up service, on-site beauty salon and a well equipped fitness center. The Lobby lounge serves a good selection of drinks and the restaurant has a good breakfast and plenty on choice on the menus for lunch and dinner. The food is all freshly prepared and of a high quality. The staff here are courteous, helpful and offer high quality customer service. Every guest here is made to feel very welcome and the staff often help to cater to any special requests that you have during your stay, such as birthdays and anniversarys. An excellent choice for a stay in Chiacgo.

The Customer service at Indigo was above and beyond any hotel I have stayed at. They were more than willing to accomodate all of our needs and even went as far as replacing a shirt a cleaning service had damaged. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling to Chicago.

Cheerful, clean rooms and excellent location. (And Aveda products!) My friends and I agreed the decor was a little Trading Spaces/Changing Rooms-esqe....a good or bad thing depending on your taste. My only complaint was that we took the do not disturb sign away in the early afternoon, and our room did not get cleaned. I also had a pretty negative experience with the person working at the Golden Bean Restaurant on the first floor, but after I complained to the consierge during check out, they comped our breakfast. Overall, though, the location and quality for price were good, and I would probably return.

The room was plenty spacious enough for two and comfortable. The bed was excellent - VERY comfortable. The only problems were loose fixtures on the sink and toilet. The shower had a nice spa-type bench in it, which we liked, but my husband didn't care for the shower head (I thought it was fine). We also had a view of a totally enclosed fire escape out our window, so no sunlight came in. This really wasn't an issue for us, but could be for some. The staff was attentive and helpful and responded promptly to our requests. We requested a non-smoking room but got a smoking room instead, probably due to availability issues. Not a big deal to us, but folks with sensitive noses should know that the smoking rooms smell very strongly of cigarettes.

Hotel Indigo is clean, fresh, and the rooms are of adequate size. Great location, helpful staff and worth what we paid. The hotel is perhaps trying a little to hard to be cool (the beach--or was it bannana?--smell in the lobby was over-the-top), but this can be forgiven. The beds are comfortable and the linens of good quality, but the pillows are sub-par. The wireless internet was exceedingly slow for me, I think because the hotel system is completely open and so has lots of non-guest users.
