The location of the Avenue hotel was just great, close to everything. If you are particularly an eager tourist who wants to see most of Chicago's landmarks in relatively a short time, then the Avenue hotel might be a perfect deal for you. |

Our family of 4 recently stayed at the Avenue Hotel in Chicago. The location can't be beat - 1/2 block from the Magnificent Mile. We were attracted to this hotel because of the great price (142/night after including chicago's exorbitant hotel tax). We were given a one bedroom corner suite on the 28th floor (with views of michican aveneue) even though we expected an ordinary double room. Didn't have to ask for an upgrade, it just happened. Worked out great for my wife and I - very comfortable bed in a spacious bedroom with a corner view (and a little closet). The accommodations for our two kids was a pull out leather couch in the living room (and like all pull out couches in my experience was not a very good bed). All in all, we'd stay there again. |

A good value, room was clean. Fitness center nice. Parking was a bit on the steep side ($48/day), which I guess makes the relatively inexpensive room rate about even. |

I would highly recommend this hotel. The room was beautiful, great views. The staff was friendly and the rooftop pool was refreshing. It was an excellent value for the money and the location was unbeatable. We were in walking distance of Oak Street Beach, John Hancock Tower, Magnificent Mile, The Water Tower.....the best location. Chicago is a beautiful city with incredibly friendly people. |

The hotel was perfect. Some review had commented on small rooms, but I found the 1-bedroom suite to be more than I expected. It was buy three nights, get one free, which worked out to about $90 a night - an amazing deal all around. Sadly, I was in on business and never made it to the rooftop pool, but the hotel was perfect all around and the staff were very hospitable. |
