Newly-renovated, award-winning, 5* luxury hotel with 127 rooms (Superior, Executive & Suites). Located near the center and all sights. It has large pool & gardens, 2 restaurants, free WiFi, lounge bar, free gym (inc. hammam), free parking, business center, conference facilities. Rooms are elegant and modern with pool or city views. The hotel is located close to the international port and airport, it is just a few minutes walk to the city centre, the world-famous archaeological museum and the palace of Knossos. The Hotel offers a unique city-resort atmosphere. It has a large fresh-water pool amidst gardens. There is a sun-deck with parasols and sun loungers for relaxation by the pool (served for food and drinks). There is a free fully-equipped gym with free hammam (massage also available). Rooms feature pay-tv and dvd. Very rich American Buffet Breakfast is available. In addition, 2 restaurants and room service with Cretan inspired gastronomy. FROM HERAKLION AIRPORTLeave Airport towards highway E-75 with direction to HeraklionDriving west for about 4 km take the second exit for Heraklion/Knossos. At the end of the ramp turn right at traffic lights. Continue straight on Knossou Avenue through next traffic lights. After the traffic lights, in about 200 m veer to the right onto the overpass (overhead sign towards Centre/??????, Chania, Rethymnon, Moires). You will enter Dimokratias Avenue at the end of the overpass (traffic lights). Continue straight for about 200 m through second traffic lights. Galaxy is on your right!

Very well maintained, high class staff

Very good business hotel in Heraklion with a few minutes walk to the cifty centre. I like the service level. -Then we needed 10 pages printed for a meeting the desk clerk just got them for us. No charge. -Then just 5 of us were leaving early the breakfast opened 45 min before scheaduled. -Quite fast WIFI included with the room which also works fine in the lobby and by the pool. I had planned to use the pool every day after work , but it is not heated.

Luxury in Heraklion

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful — Recently renovated the Galaxy Hotel became the first-class address in Heraklion to be spoiled in luxurious ambience. Infrastructure and equipment are modern, stylistically very attractive. Spacious rooms and suites invite you to feel well. Owners and staff are very courteous, and the service is perfect. One highlight is to enjoy the exceptionally tasty dishes, for example during a dinner for two, together with friends or business partners. In Heraklion and surroundings I never enjoyed a comparable experience. The Galaxy Hotel and its exceptional ambience is the new recommendation for Heraklion.
