This is a modern, functional city hotel with a comfortable uncluttered feel. It is ideal for both business travellers and holidaymakers alike. The hotel comprises a total of 180 rooms and offers guests air conditioning, a lobby area with a 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, lift access, a cafe, a bar, a restaurant and conference facilities. Guests may also take advantage of the WLAN Internet access, laundry service and 24-hour room service. If driving to Dublin, there are secure underground car parking facilities so guests have peace of mind. Car parking is limited and subject to availability, fees may apply. Located in Dublin city centre, just a 10-minute walk away from Temple Bar, the hotel overlooks the River Liffey with stunning views of the city, and is close to all the major tourist attractions and just a 10-minute walk from the famous O'Connell Street and a 15-minute walk from Stephens Green, Grafton Street and Trinity College. If flying into Dublin, this is the closest city centre hotel to Dublin Airport via the Dublin Port Tunnel and the hotel provides a free shuttle bus to and from Dublin Airport 7 days a week. The hotel features a heated indoor swimmin pool with a children's section. Guests may relax in the hot tub and sauna or with a spa treatment in the new Santé Médispa (for an additional fee). Sports enthusiasts may enjoy a work-out in the gym. Kudos restaurant has an exotic menu with some of the finest Asian dishes in Dublin, all made with authentic ingredients and spices. If guests prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, savoury and sweet Asian food is served straight from the wok in the contemporary Kudos bar. Sandwiches, snacks, tea and coffee are also served throughout the day in Savour. From Dublin Airport, continue on the N1 for Dublin city centre. Take a left onto Clonliffe Avenue with Quinn's Pub on the right, and continue on through Poplar Row Road. Take Annesley Bridge onto the East Wall Road until coming to the roundabout at Point Depot. Take the 2nd exit with the River Liffey on the left, and continue over the road. The hotel with its red brick exterior is the 3rd block on the right.

Convenient

For convenience only - yes. On Sunday, I waited 15 minutes to get the car parking ticket endorsed becuase there was only on receptionist on duty. The wiater service in the loungs was abysmal. It too almost 20 minutes to get a coffee. The price for one night's accommodation was ridiculous and clearly exploiting what was a busy weekend in Dublin. The room was good and generally everything else was fine apart from the attempt to charge me for 2 days car parking simply because I was going to be slightly over a 24 hour period.

Great for what we wanted

This hotel was a good value for the cost. The staff were great and the food at the hotel was pretty good and the internet was free and fast. The things that were below expectations were the showers and the bed comfort. However, it was great for the value considering there were plenty of hotels demanding more. Also, the price on Skoosh was the best price when I went around Arthur's Day.

Would revisit The Clarion

The hotel was a lot better than I expected. The location is good, 10 min brisk walk from O' Connell Street. I was there with my daughter and walking back late at night, we felt safe. The room was a really good size, it was clean and well presented. Breakfast was great except if you have a really early checkout you will miss breakfast. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it.
