The service was good, and the bed and even breakfast was good. The room was a shambles, but if you don't mind loose wallpapers and holes in the carpet/floor, it's quite okay.

Travelodge Dublin Airport South

"bare bones motel"

Review by: jay , oreland, United States

Stayed: Apr 2013

hotel is exactly what it claims to be, inexpensive, although if you want Wi Fi it will cost you 5 Euro's a day, or 1 Euro per 5 minutes on their lobby computer. The neighborhood is run down, and you would not want to walk around after dark. having said that, the hotels saving grace is it's staff, Pauline and Roman at the front desk could not have been more helpful and friendly, even when dealing with 2 or 3 guests at a time, and Michelle and Florry in the cafe and housekeeping were above expectations. If expense is your concern I would recommend this place, with awareness of the above

I would but u would tell then to avoid your site at all costs because if you make a mistake & have to amend a check in date you charge me double the price.

My booking with you of €80 then turned into €140.00 just to amend a date so no way I will ever book with you again.I work in the Irish dept of trade & tourism & will bring this matter up at our meeting tommrow.I also attempted to contact your number as left on the site & guess what your number cannot be contacted from Irish landlines or mobiles & that's another concern that I will be raising.I may be just another mark for your company but I will be taking this further & will publicise what your company has done & have you removed from Irish hotel lists.

Be warned about the ensuite room facilities in some rooms, thy have glass partitioning with frosted areas in the hope of preserving your dignity. Not ideal but bearable with a little partner-trust :)
Otherwise, great location, friendly staff and very good food.

Paramount Hotel

More than decent hotel - recommended

Review by: Sverre , Oslo, Norway

Stayed: Apr 2013

Given its' location, size and cleanlinessof the rooms and not to mention the very reasonable prices I would recommend this hotel.
Service was good as well, asked for a late check-out and that was no problem, all smiles.
Being located in Temple Bar it is noisy, but that's a given I would say.

Definately I would recommend this hotel. The only downside was that the view out my window was of wasteland.

The room was large with a very bed comfortable. I had a great night's sleep (which is not often the case for me in hotels).

I found it to be great value for money. I had searched for good deals on a variety of websites & this was by far the best value. Definately worth considering if you're going to Dublin.

A wonderful hotel in the middle of shopping heaven, just off Grafton Street it is a great location. The staff are lovely, very friendly and chatty, nice and pleasant. We had a twin room which was surprisingly spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The cooked breakfast was tasty and the brown bread they served was gorgeous. All in all have to say it was a pleasant stay, will stay there again and will definitely recommend to others.

The Ritz-Carlton, Powerscourt

Loved The Ritz Carlton Powerscourt & Ireland!!!

Review by: Jeffrey , Altoona, United States

Stayed: May 2010

Beautiful hotel located in a lovely country setting. Room was good size and had state of the art touch controls for everything. Clean. Large bathroom w/double sinks, rainforest shower, jetted tub, seperate toilet and an in mirror tv. Service in the hotel was wonderful and friendly. I was happy we got the breakfast plan as food is on the expensive side. There is a small town nearby with some wonderful little places to eat. Also a short walk to the Powerscourt gardens and shops very beautiful gardens nice walk. If you are a golfer the course looked beautiful and is within walking distance of the hotel. Overall it was on the expensive side but we enjoyed it and were made to feel very comfortable by the friendly and helpful staff.

Jurys Inn Custom House

Jurys Inn Custom House
We loved Jurys Inn Custom House, Dublin

Review by: Conor Skelton , craigavon, Ireland

Stayed: Jan 2013

My wife and I and a few members of my family stayed at Jurys on New Years Eve. We were were all extremely happy with our bedrooms and the facilites at the Hotel, especially the late breakfast on Tuesday morning. The food at the Hotel is of high quality and a lot of variety to choose from. We will definitely recommend the Hotel to other family members and friends. Plus the location is excellent for walking to the city centre. The only downside was the cost of the car parking. Guests should be made aware that they are charged each time they take their car out of the car park. The car park facilies are very good - only for that system of payment. The Hotel Staff are very welcoming and very friendly and we all felt very comfortable from the minute we arrived in the hotel.

The Ardmore Hotel

The Ardmore Hotel
Nice hotel

Review by: Avril , Edinburgh, United Kingdom

Stayed: Nov 2012

The room (211) was nicely laid out and it was great to be able to get a family room, but its position, next to the lifts on the 2nd floor, meant we were woken up early each morning by thoughtless fellow guests shouting at each other. Window in the room also let in some road noise and a previous guest had been smoking at the window and left the butts on the sill.

Ate in the bar on the Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. Portions were large and chicken gougons were freshly made, not from a freezer bag.

Reception staff were friendly and helpful recommending a family bus pass which saved us money although we found the bus timetables couldn't be relied upon.

Had breakfast at the Tesco Express round the corner.

The Shelbourne Dublin

The Shelbourne Dublin
A top class hotel.

Review by: Claire , Church Stretton, United Kingdom

Stayed: Nov 2012

Very enjoyable two night stay. We couldn't fault the customer service. The stay was not without its issues but in the end they were resolved very much to our satisfaction by Customer Service Executive JD. A bustling hotel, with lovely bedrooms. It was very difficult to find a seat in any public room even at 6pm. We had a superb meal in The Saddle Room restaurant. We will be returning to this first class hotel.
