Old style Hotel in a great location

This was our first visit to the Royal Marine and in many ways it met our expectations as an old style hotel with a grand entrance hall and large comfortable common areas to relax in. Our bedroom was of a standard variety and more in keeping with a 3 star hotel i.e in an attic beside a lift shaft overlooking a back entry. However the bed was comfortbale with good quality bedsheets and pillows, the staff on the front desk and in the resturant were very helpful and pleasant at all times.
