The Wynns Hotel offers all of the comfort and facilities one would expect from a modern three star hotel, whilst retaining the charm, tradition and service which began back in 1845. This, combined with it's excellent location on Abbey Street, just 20 yards from O'Connell Street in the very heart of Dublin makes it one of the most popular hotels. The hotel's 70 bedrooms, comprising single, double and twin rooms are bright and tastefully furnished with many features to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. These include remote control, colour television, direct dial telephone, hair dryers and trouser press. In addition a 24-hour room service is available. For families and groups, there are a number of triple and family rooms available. All rooms have private bathroom facilities.

Very good hotel

Yes I would recommend it to others. Staff were very friendly and helpful, absolutely no hassle at all. Room was simple but adequate. The heating could have been better - during our stay the outside temperatures were very low, below freezing at night. The room heating struggled to keep the room barely warm and no more. Excellent breakfast, by far one of the best I've ever had in Ireland. Breakfast room seems a bit small for the size of the hotel and there could be capacity problems at times. Excellent value for money.

Everything you would expect

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful — This hotel was everything you would expect from 4 star - clean, well appointed, comfortable. The location is fabulous - easily within walking distance of everything you'll need (including tourist office and airport bus on O'Connell St). Breakfast is good - has some 'different' options (eg kippers!) for those regular travellers who are tired of the standard full irish... Only downside is that there is quite a bit of street noise - cars, trams & drunks - but there is not much the hotel can do about that. So if you are a light sleeper, chose a different location!

Wynn's a good downtown choice

Superb location, 1 block from Liffey and from Dublin Spire, 3 blocks from bus depot. 5-minute walk to Tara St. Dart Station, 10-minute walk to Connolly Station. Historic building -- has lots of crown moldings & small architectural details. Room sufficiently comfortable. Breakfast good, nice staff. WiFi on every floor, but signal weak because of thick walls. Not good for parking; no drop-off foyer for getting luggage out of car. Rate we got was quite competitive with modern chain hotels.
