Wonderful Apex International

I would recommend this hotel. It is warm, welcoming and great value for money. The hotel was clean, the food was superb and the staff were extremely friendly. It met my expectations. The wonderful view overlooking the castle whilst having breakfast was beautiful.

loved the apex internatonal

I booked this hotel because it has a pool and sauna.....and it was great....spectacular breakfasts with a view of edinburgh castle, staff extremely friendly and helpful....pool was gorgeous.......rooms clean and lovely comfortable pillows....only downside was the locking systems on the doors make them shut with a loud bang.....so you hear these bangs intermittently during the evening as people come and go from their rooms.....but I don't know how they could alter that....so I would definitely recommend staying there.....great after a days shopping to relax in the pool or sauna or gym.....

Convenient and relaxing stay at Apex International

We would recommend this hotel to others. It was clean, warm, very good beds with real duvet. The breakfast was lovely with a very nice view to the Castle. We used the swimming pool and the sauna which we found to be ok. With its Grassmarket position, it was close to nice pubs. In all, value for money.

Apex unplugged

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful — My wife and I only stayed one night so didn't have time to make full use of all the facilities available. What we did see of the hotel complex we found to be very clean and tidy. We did however experience one plumbing problem in that the plug in the bath, which was supposed to unplug with a turn of a handle, became stuck and we were unable to drain the bath. The plug problem aside we thoroughly enjoyed our first Apex experience. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were smart, very friendly and helpful.

Winter chiller

The hotel was pretty cold in the night, I understand that the whole central belt of Scotland was in a cold snap but rooms should not go cold in the night. My room certainly looked more than a little tired and in need of refurb. My room service order was delivered with no cutlery or condiments. On the day of my departure a delivery truck blocked the car park exit and when asked after 10 minutes how much longer they would be they expected to be they said 30 minutes and that I should go to reception to ask for the entry barrier to be raised. Customer service seemed a little below par. I'm not sure I would go back again in peak time.
