would recommend.
impressed and excellent value for money.
check that what you book is what you will get.I booked 2 twin rooms and when we got there 1 twin 1 double.no guarantee that you will be given the rooms requested.was offered a free bottle of wine but were not dining in hotel.stood our ground and got 2 twin rooms.

The staff were very friendly, and helpful. The room was a good size and the furnishings comfortable.

The car park is located in a private garage which required you to lock and unlock a set of gates yourself with a key, and was a block from the hotel (5 minute walk) which was less convenient than other options in the area

The air conditioning unit was marginal in its ability to cool the room - thankfully Edinburgh was not unseasonably warm during our stay. Though they obviously knew of the problem as a fan was provided.

The price was good for the quality, being in the 100 GBP range, especially being adjacent to the Royal Mile.

A worthwhile option for travel on a budget, or as a "#2" option to the higher priced venues on the Royal Mile.

Terribly noisy at night -traffic, drunken singing from the street even WITH the window open.went there to stay before the marathon. On the morning of the run was really impressed by the little table in the foyer offering energy drinks and bananas-until finding this was just a bit of opportunistic overpriced selling. Fortunately many of my fellow runners made the same original assumption and trotted off with their bottles without paying, which seemed fair enough! On the other hand good furnishing , clean, and nice staff.

Would not recommend to others

The hotel has no double Glazing, you could not sleep at night due to large groups of people hanging around the taxi rank outside the hotel , we finally got to sleep at 04.00.

Spa area is well dated and needs a total upgrade and would rate the spa as two star at most

Good value for money. Location is perfect for shopping or sightseeing break. However rooms on the Royal Mile are extremely noisy during the night due to the location of a very busy taxi rank below!
