Great location for the Rugby, easy access to Stadium walking by the river. Breakfast good. Staff friendly.
Rooms unkept, dirty, bed broken. Not ideal.

Perfect location for our trip to the rugby, although the cleanliness of the rooms was unacceptable.
Shower mouldy and rooms generally looked 'worn' and 'grubby'

1. Yes
2. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
3. The breakfast was very good, good choice available.
4. I feel the standard of housekeeping could be improved in the rooms.
5. The inclussion of liquid soap and shampoo should be standard, not one small bar of soap.
6. It was good value
7. We were overall happy with our stay and would stay there again,

The West End Hotel was more or less what you expect from a Travelodge, basic but comfortable enough. We wanted one night in Edinburgh and it was fairly central location and we could walk to the main areas of the city. It was the cheapest hotel we could find for the visit and would recommend as a short stay hotel. Breakfast was self-service and you could eat as much as you wanted.

we would recommend it to others it was very good only minus was the bed had a leg missing so it was quite shaky room 414 but apart from that was well impressed x

No, If are travelling with an infant. Ok if you staying alone or for couple for a one night. Below are my feedbacks. 1. The room we received had a sofa that had some marks on it. When I informed the reception about it after that they put a clean bed sheet over it. 2. It takes 10-15 mins after opening the the shower to receive the hot water in the morning and in the evening. I was told the water tanks are located in the other end of the hotel hence it takes time for hot water to come out. This is not acceptable as it delayed our plans. 3. There was not enough lighting in the room. There was just one light in the ceiling which was not enough to illuminate the room. 4. Only good part I liked about the hotel is that supplementary buffet breakfast.

Good value for money, close to the centre, fairly standard travel lodge and helpful reception desk. However, there was no hairdryer in the room. The furniture in the room was very old and not in very good condition. The breakfast was appalling. There was not enough seating for all the guests who had BOOKED breakfast, there were not enough plates, there was not cutlery and they even began to run out of food. It was thoroughly disorganised.

The hotel had an excessive amount of noisy stag parties and whilst the hotel itself is acceptable the above observation should be taken seriously.
