Great for the price,

Our room/apartment was very nice with only minor issues (terribly loud grinding sound when running hot water in the bathroom, uneven floors mean that the dresser drawers wouldn't stay closed). Other concerns were regarding the free WiFi- there are, at least, 5 WiFi routers in the building, but we could barely latch on to any of them, and they kept dropping out, giving us intermittent WiFi at best. KEEP IN MIND that you must check-in at 6 Queen St before going to your rental property!

We mostly enjoyed our stay at Newtown Hotel.

There are a few things which need to be put right with appartment 8a, and then I would recommend it. The appartment was clean and adequately equipped and the garden was a welcome feature. The toilet door did not shut or lock as the bolt was out of alignment. Also when the light for the internal bathroom was switched on the most foul smell of rotton drains came out of what appeared to be the extractor fan, making it almost impossible to be in the bathroom. My neice in appartment 5 had rubble behind the settee which was discovered when her 11 month old baby tried to eat it. The floorboards were faulty making it dangerous, especially for her children.
